Why do young children or young adults with healthy bodies die, or why does accidental death occur?
When a young child or person dies, the particular circumstances and conditions in which the soul found itself had already become exhausted and unsuitable for its further progress and evolution in working out its karma.
Whatever degree of evolution was possible for that particular soul in that specific existence has already been achieved. It has no opportunity to progress further within that setup. By circumstances, we mean its upbringing, parents, society, state of life, and overall conditions of existence. Therefore, the embodied soul relinquishes the present body and circumstances and seeks another body in different circumstances that will offer the conditions necessary for its continued evolution. This is what is called death and birth. To the soul, these transitions are as simple as discarding old, worn-out clothes and putting on new ones.
